Those of a sensitive disposition should stop reading now...
I spent most of last night up and down like the lift in the Empire State Building. As soon as I had I settled into my cosy truckle bed the rumblings began and being unsure as to the outcome of any flatulence that might ensue I decided that discretion being the better part of valour I would make my way to the smallest room, just to be safe.
And by jingo I'm glad I did. The skitters, reminiscent of a flock of starlings taking off validated my decision. What caused this? I hear you ask. I'll tell you what my theory is—it was the egg mayo sandwich I'd had earlier. A combination of not letting the egg cool enough and getting the mayo out of the fridge too early resulted in some sort of internal curdling effect which caused the subsequent event.
You'll be pleased to know, I'm sure, that things have eased up a bit and after a cup of coffee and some toast the risk has been pretty much removed. What lessons have I learned from this turn of events? Number one: let your boiled egg cool sufficiently; Number two, no I think it would be best to say, secondly since the other term brings it all back, don't get your mayo out prematurely, and finally always listen to your gut.
That's all for now, take care out there x
