A new lease of life...

Or should that be a new lease on life, who knows? I'm not talking about myself here, it's my venerable old laptop I'm on about. I upgraded it to Windows 10 the other day and it's cast off the lead boots and is bounding along like a linty. Fantastic what a bit of a tweak can do. Some of the keyboard keys are not working for some reason so I'm using the on-screen keyboard which works just fine.

Now that I've cheered up the laptop, all I need now is to do the same for myself and we're flying. In other news I have a new neighbour, he seems like a nice enough young chap so let's hope it stays like that. He'll have a hard job to improve on my previous one though, she was absolutely lovely.

As I write this I'm looking at my pile of 'to read' books and have had a pang of guilt that they are sitting there looking so forlorn. I will have to get back into the habit of reading a chapter or two at bedtime, especially now that I seem to have sorted my body clock out. This has been due, in part to getting up at breakfast time to watch the Women's Football World Cup from Australia. England women's team are showing the men how a World Cup should be played and will be up against Spain on Sunday (20/8) in the Final. I wish them the best of luck. And on that positive note I'll be off - Peace and Love xx
