Good afternoon chortlers

I had an answer to a crossword clue which was the word Chortle and I thought what a lovely word it is, so I wrote a poem.

A Lovely Word

Chortle's such a lovely word

A better one than snigger

Friendly, warm and cosy

Unlike the other one

It's harsh, unfriendly

A word that takes

Not gives. So, put aside

The snigger style and maybe

You will find that you're much

Happier if you live a

Much more chortle life.
