Actually more of some inspiration for another poem; so here it is.

A Study in Patience and Concentration

The white cat sits atop a garden fence

Poised to pounce on its oblivious prey

It sits, pure white and patiently tense

Looking like it could sit up there all day

Poised, ready for the attack to commence

Suddenly, it springs down and away

Down from its perch on the fence

Disappearing, to where, who can say?
