Not just a poet

I'm not just a poet you know, it seems that I'm also an engineering genius. I managed to get Freeview working on the TV in the room I pretentiously call my office by taking the aerial from a portable radio and a paperclip (useful thing your paperclip), inserting them in the aerial jack in the back of the TV and Bob's your uncle, a signal!

So now I can have the TV burbling in the background while I poet like the bard I am and, when the HDMI cable arrives watch a bit of Apple TV which has been provided by my mobile phone provider on a twelve month free trial as a reward for not being arsed to change provider for 20-odd years. I knew loyalty would pay eventually.

I've also written a couple more poems and will be getting on with the adventures of Dangling Albert once I can work out how to get him out from under the shed which fell on him while he was erecting it.

I've not heard anything from the people I submitted poems and a short story to other than the two rejections before the holidays but I carry on undaunted and will be looking at more targets for my submissions soon.

With that, I'm off to do some more poeting.
